Visa & Entry Requirements

Tanzania offers visa on arrival for most nationalities at all international airports and border crossings. The cost ranges from $50 to $100 depending on your nationality and is payable in USD cash.

Important:

Your passport must have at least six months validity and two blank pages. Some travelers may need to show proof of yellow fever vaccination if arriving from affected countries.

Seasonal Advice

Dry Season (June-October)

Best for wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources. Cooler temperatures but very dusty.

Green Season (November-May)

Lush landscapes, fewer tourists, and lower prices. Some roads may be impassable after heavy rains.

Wildebeest migration varies yearly. January-February in Southern Serengeti, July-October in Northern Serengeti.
